And here is the latest asset to our team!

Lars Gregori:
“I’m doing IoT and things.”
Lars Gregori joins the hybris labs team as Technology Strategist. He is interested in all kinds of new technologies emerging around the Internet of Things (IoT), Android, BLE and NFC, BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi, MQTT and many more. Lars received his degree in computer science from the FH München and also completed an apprenticeship as electronics technician in communications technology, specialising on wireless technology.

Before joining hybris labs, Lars worked as a  Software Architect, developing Java Enterprise systems for car financing services. He also was a member of the Center of Competence (CoC) where he worked on researching new technologies. Besides that, Lars already was a speaker at conferences such as IoTCon, JavaLand and droidcon.

Lars can happily say he turned is hobby into his job. So now he is looking for a new hobby and spends some of his free time on chess engines and chess analysis.

Back from the Big Apple

Here is the next new member of the labs team…

labs team is becoming less small

Team lunch will become more difficult. We might have to start reserving tables. Yes, it’s true,  three new faces have joined the labs team and it’s about time we introduced them to you. Ladies first, of course! (hybris labs now has a female portion again!)

New space, new face

We’ve already told you about the hybris labs Innovation Space at NY82. It gives us the chance to exclusively present our prototypes to customers and partners in an environment less hectic than at the events we frequently attend. And it’s also better than keeping them in storage somewhere. The prototypes, not the partners and customers. But to do this we need some help.

Let me introduce Andreas Kopp to you who has been supporting the labs team since September 1st. He will manage the hybris labs Innovation Space and give demonstrations of our prototypes to partners, customers and also new employees. Basically to anybody who is interested. So, if you want to get in touch just send him an email to

Andreas Kopp

Being an active member of the fablab Munich and a regular exhibitor at Maker Faires, Andreas will add some new spirit to the labs team, connecting hybris labs to the maker community. Building connected objects is one of Andreas’s great interests, but he says himself that he is very curious to learn more about e-commerce and the hybris world.

We’re glad to have you with us Andreas, welcome to the team!
