“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” – Henry Ford
There is no such thing as a best practice guide to innovation. It is never easy to introduce changes to something established, be it new methods, ideas, or products. In fact, there are more ways to get it wrong than right. However, at SAP Hybris we believe a prerequisite for innovation lies in a repository of technological building blocks. We’ve created a collection of services and APIs which we can use in conjunction with our own market-leading commerce technology.
This describes the core of innovation at SAP Hybris. We’re constantly combining technologies and services to see if anything interesting falls out. When an appealing thought arises, we try to apply our idea to a customer or commerce use case, and then we start to build a prototype. A solution, a problem, the result. This may be an unusual order, but that’s how we like to do things at Hybris Labs.
To communicate new technological ideas there is no better way than to show how our invention can make life just a little bit easier in an everyday situation. So we write a story. Together with our media team we then produce short films like the ones you can see on this site. Take a look and let us know what you think.
